I have worked with Margaret Howell for over 20 years. At present she has a public exhibition in store, to celebrate 20 years of her shop and offices on Wigmore Street in London. One of the models Clym Evernden, who I photographed for her AW campaign in 2002, talks about his experience of our shoot in the exhibition alongside a copy of the image.

“One of my earliest and most exciting memories of the Wigmore Street shop was being asked to take part in a shoot for an Autumn / Winter campaign. I remember the
shop had been partially cleared for the shoot so it appeared larger, and the floorboards seemed more dominant. A single metal chair stood ready for me. I was new to modelling and the photographer asked me to look down and then look up at which point he took the shot. I wore a heavy black cord double breasted jacket which then went on to become a favourite in my wardrobe.”
