There is no photographer who has effected me more than Roy DeCarava or has permeated my thoughts more regularly. I haven’t taken any pictures of the inside of this book because they wouldn’t do it justice but check out the work @decarava . I think this is the best reproduction of his work since, Roy DeCarava A Retrospective, 1996. A book I consumed as a student in the same year. I saw this at the Whitechapel book fair at the weekend and didn’t buy it but I regretted it and today went to @davidzwirner to rectify the mistake.
