Yesterday I spoke to some great students from @idepbarcelona about photography, this meant I had to look through some old work.
This image slid out from an old print box. @kingsofleon just before their first headlining UK tour. I received the call in East London, to do the shoot at around 8am, ‘can you shoot Kings of Leon at 10am in West London?’ Sure I said. I hung up my Blackberry and got myself together. I’d been up all night and had nothing with me. I had been out with my friend (no names to protect the innocent) who luckily lived with a great photographer and friend who I convinced to help me on the shoot. She agreed to meet me at the pub in Goldhawk Road and I set off to hire all the gear we needed to shoot.
By the time I got to the pub I had fallen over the gear twice and had to stop a fight on the tube between a business man and a kid on a skateboard. My friend was there with blood shot eyes and I must have smelt of whisky the band were all under 21 and couldn’t drink in their own country. The shoot wasn’t my best and we all ended up going to a gig at a club called The End which used to be behind New Oxford St central London.
