Photo Fringe OPEN ECO

A Slow Return

I’m very pleased to be included in @photofringe OPEN Eco in Brighton with an image from my year long project.

Highlighting the changing boundary between human spaces and the natural world as temperatures rise. While extreme heat will destroy many fragile ecosystems, it also forces a shift in how we live. As the outdoors becomes less comfortable, humans will increasingly retreat inside behind glass and curtains to escape the sun. This leaves the immediate outdoor spaces a bit more quiet, allowing tough, opportunistic local plants to edge closer and reclaim the brickwork. It represents a subtle shift in territory—humanity hiding away from the climate chaos it caused, while a stubborn fragment of nature quietly steps into the vacuum.
