This composition was influenced by a situation I found myself in while shooting for the Wire magazine. Around the beginning of the millennium I traveled to Genoa to photograph Philip Corner. In the evening there was to be a performance by Philip. After the shoot and before the guests arrived for the event I was given a private performance by Philip. The room had been set up with rows of chairs in an amazing double height room with marble floors.
