Every year when the weather gets warm enough the solar panels on the roof of the bowls club attract hundreds of gulls. So many of them that it totally covers the surface of the panels shading them from the sun.

Light moving across the North Sea today. Getting the balance right between the exposure and keeping some texture in the sea is a fine balance.

While waiting for a 3D print to finish I used the time to walk out from the studio with our parabolic mic and record the birds. I followed this small waterway along the side of a field, a Great Tit performed above me for a while then a gang of Goldfinch’s chattered along the treeline.

Last years nest. A pair of pigeons spent a long time collecting a pile of sticks on our balcony but every time the wind blew they blew away with it… a wood pigeon came and showed them how to do it. It’s still there in the tree after a windy winter.

Blackbird in a bush. I came into London today for a shoot and to meet Lou after she’s been away working. The opposite of the song in a way but some reflection and I think the blackbird was with his mate too.
