A Year in Development by John Hooper

Labyrinth lab at 121 Roman road have put together an impressive selection of prints from photographers they work with and are showing them in the upstairs gallery at the same address. I have one print from my recent Cornwall shoot, in the show. The contact scan above doesn’t do the print justice so you will have to get along to the show to see for yourself. Here

Spectrum portraits by John Hooper

I mentioned previously I had been working on portraits for the charity Spectrum. The site has now been published and more exciting additions will be online soon. Above is just a selection of the 36 portraits I did for them.  Please click through to the charities site to find out about the important work they do. This project has involved many great creative people including Art & Graft, (who worked with Everywhere and Collective Approach).

I have also made a little film about some of Spectrum’s work with Tom Collinson, Jamie Turner on camera, Jason Read on the Edit and John Brown on credits. Coming soon.

Myself and six others (team name Onwards and Upwards)are cycling to Paris on the 20th July 2011 in aid of Action Medical Research. To raise money for this we are having a charity auction on the 9th April at The Manor Arms in Clapham. Among other amazing items up for grabs are a signed album and a one off print of the stunning Melanie C, taken last year and signed by myself and Melanie. For more information please look at our blog HERE and if you can’t make the auction please sponsor us HERE.

Established in 1996, Body & Soul is a pioneering charity providing support to children, young people living with or closely affected by HIV.

Our mission is to enable members to build positive futures, guiding and supporting each member through the process of learning and personal development. Year after year Body & Soul has enabled an invisible, disadvantaged community to achieve beyond all likely outcomes.

Our vision is a world free from stigma and prejudice where HIV is no longer discriminated against and where everyone has access to treatment, love and care. This is the soul of the organisation and our reason for being.
