When the sun was still shinning and the temperature was closer to 20˚ than 0˚ I spent the day in a concrete car park. Under the art direction of Moontain I shot the YearOne_ look book for the super talented Paula and Abby, the genius behind the premier collection. Model: Danielle Wade

A while back my friend Fiona Hermansson asked me to come and photograph some of the customers for a shop she was working with. The shop on the Portobello Road is an Aladdin’s cave with clothes from some of the most exciting figures in the fashion world. Their customers and friends are encouraged to drop in and hang out and the brief for the shoot? Studio 54 meets back stage at the Theater. My take on it was to create 5 characters to represent the shop Check out their website for more info about the shop and their ideology.

“For me this project has been challenging because, instead of being in total control of my own design, I’ve had to work out someone else’s requirements and ideas, while satisfying my own aesthetic – not easy. Yet this is something Kenneth Grange routinely does in the field of industrial design throughout his long, versatile and successful career.”
- Margaret Howell
“At 80 new commissions come through the door more rarely. So when Margaret calls to suggest the collaboration my heart lifts. And even more is the treat when, ignoring the suit I made myself at art school, this would be first sally into her world.
Only to find that our worlds are surprisingly alike. It is in the details, as Mies van der Rohe said, that God lives.”
